The piece is handmade from start to finish. I drew the calligraphy and transferred it to silver. I then cut it out with a hand saw and soldered it all together. It is made of sterling silver.

Artist Statement
My name is Sarena Boyd. I am a student at SLCC studying graphic design. Outside of going to school my hobbies include calligraphy and silversmithing. I like to combine my calligraphy work with my jewelry. Calligraphy is a new hobby of mine and it's fun to see the new inspiration it has given me.
