Snow Life

Snow Life, Photography
Snow Life
This is a triptych, and each photo shows the different stage of snow life.
Since I was only able to upload maximum of 3 images here, I have attached 2 individual images and overview image that shows how the artwork works as a whole.
The left image is when the snow is falling from the sky, or when the snow is born. The middle one is snow flake, shining the beauty of its life. The right one is when the snow melts, or nearing the end of its life. The snow melts, evaporates into the air, and goes back to the sky, hoping to be born again. The middle image (snow flake) is film photography, and the other two images are digital photography.

The size of each photography is 8.5 X 11, and I am going to put them in one frame (16.5 in X 33 in ) with 3 window openings. The frame color is blue so that it will match with the feeling of all the images.

Photography (Digital / Film)    16.5 x 33 x 1.5    $200.00

Artist Statement
Having Japanese cultural background and living in the States for several years, my perspective is quite unique, because my vision is a fusion of strong Orientalism and Western culture.
I have practiced tea ceremony, calligraphy, abacus, drawing, piano for many years, and I have a strong multi-cultural background. In Japanese, the word 道(Dou) means "The way of". In Japan, I had the opportunity to practice 書道(Shodou - calligraphy) and 茶道 (Sadou - tea ceremony). These "ways" not only focus on the method but also has deep spiritual meaning. That same focus on method and spiritualism flow out of my works.
