Purple Dog - Reductive Monotype

Purple Dog - Reductive Monotype, Printmaking
Purple Dog - Reductive Monotype
This art piece was created for my Printmaking class. We used a plexiglass to roll AKUA ink onto it and remove ink from it using brushes, q-tips and scratch tools, to draw a realistic, abstract, or nonobjective image. I had as a reference a dog picture and I used mostly brushes and q-tips to obtain texture and contrast to make it more realistic.

Artist Statement
I am a self motivated, goal oriented woman who works hard on any task from start to finish. I am driven by my passion about Graphic Design to build the career and the person I am today. I strive to be a creative graphic designer and communicator, visually understanding a graphic problem and transfer it on paper or graphic software delivering the final product as requested. My organizational skills and attention to detail will hopefully make my work stand out.
