It’s time to empower myself/ Es tiempo de empoderarme (Zine)

The zine was created for a project for my Advanced Type & Layout class. The theme was discrimination and It is about how as a woman I have overcome society’s gender judgements and my own in a positive way, such as menstruation, body hair, what women wear, and more. One side is in English and the other one in Spanish. I used the app Procreate and Adobe InDesign to create it and it is a 26-panel accordion fold when expanded the flat size is 5.25 x 67.5

Artist Statement

I am a self motivated, goal oriented woman who works hard on any task from start to finish. I am driven by my passion about Graphic Design to build the career and the person I am today. I strive to be a creative graphic designer and communicator, visually understanding a graphic problem and transfer it on paper or graphic software delivering the final product as requested. My organizational skills and attention to detail will hopefully make my work stand out.
