This piece began as an assignment in foundation 1 drawing. We were assigned to draw from life using charcoal. I wanted to make the piece more than just a still life. I wanted to make it symmetrical while still highlighting the imperfections in the skull. Even though skulls may appear smooth they still have a slight texture that I think the charcoal captured well. Finally the title that I chose for the piece came from the way I try and give my pieces witty titles.
