This assignment was from the Design class. The goal was to create a wearable mask that represented my personality. When I asked a friend to describe my personality, she said "loud" as in outgoing or flamboyant. I agreed with her assessment, and planned to design the most flamboyant things I could, while still incorporating elements that describe who I am. The entire piece is predominantly blue, because I love blue. The nose is meant to evoke Gonzo the Muppet, because I love the Muppets and he is my favorite. The eyepatch represents my love of pirates. The writing on the face is "Taekwon-Do" in Korean Hangul (I am a Black Belt). And there are swords up with the feathers, because I love swords and swordfighting. If this is approved for entry, I will mount it on a foam head that has been prepared to hold the mask up.
